This bedroom has a boxed in stairwell - also known as a bulk head! Our customer wanted a bed built over it for an older child. The sides of the bed are lower and the ladder was positioned on the end, as plenty of space there! You could also have a 'flat' style ladder or a more 'graduated' ladder for younger children.
